Shares Acquisition Scheme

This is a special scheme that has been designed to help customers invest in the stock market. The scheme provides a loan facility for existing NIDA customers to buy shares of quoted companies in the stock market.

Features

· Up to 60% of the cost of acquiring the shares subject to the single obligor limit for consumer loan

· 40% equity cash contribution or pledge of equivalent value of shares worth 50% of the value of shares to be acquired

  • Available as term loan to enable obligor part finance the purchase of shares of blue chip companies. Only Blue chips companies will be allowed (As shall be listed & reviewed time to time by Credit Office)
  • Maximum of 12 months. Loan cannot be rolled over or the maturity extended
  • Repayment shall be according to the cash flow pattern of the customer. This couldbe monthly, quarterly or bullet repayment at maturity. However irrespective of the repayment pattern, theinterest must be serviced monthly.

Any source acceptable to the Bank. Such shall however be specific, identifiable and reliable, not speculative. Early payment is allowed, without penalty and repayment shall be from Inflow into customers NIDA account or sales of the shares purchased
